Traditional Use: Is used in perfumery for its fixative properties.

Properties: Antiseptic, demulcent, fixative

 

Benefits: Utilized as a fixative. This oil is very viscous, and may need to be warmed up to aid pourability.  It is widely used in perfumery, soapmaking, as a fixative, for its scent and has strong spiritual properties for ritual  used in grounding and sacred to the Druids.

Blends Well With: Anise, bay, bergamot, clary sage, eucalyptus, ginger, lavender, lime, orange, palmarosa, tea tree, vetiver, ylang ylang

 

Of Interest: The lichen primarily grows on oak trees, but it may also be found on firs and pines. Oakmoss grown on pine trees is thought to have a stronger turpentine aroma.

Safety Data: Not for internal use. Avoid in epilepsy and while pregnant. May cause skin irritation.
