Essential Aromatherapy Welcome This is the foundations aromatherapy course and a prerequisite for all other courses. This course covers fundamentals, history, uses, how to use, safety, contraindications, bases and blending techniques. Instructions 1. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the course, contents and navigation. You will find links to all lessons, activities, glossaries, essential oil profiles, oils in the Essential 12 kit, tests, and shopping on this page. Be sure you know how to get to each of these things. 2. The course is outlined in the syllabus below. Click on the link to go to that lesson. Complete the modules and lessons in order. The first module is knowledge base only and requires no practical application. 3. Submit questions to the module chapters as you proceed. 3. Be sure to view videos and follow all links in the lessons. 4. Complete any practice activities during the lessons. To ensure your completion of the practical exercises you will be asked for feedback on your trials. 5. Submit each test module in order as you come to it. 6. As you proceed through the course you will need to reference glossaries and essential oil profiles often. As you encounter terminology that is new to you, look it up immediately. Specifications and properties of essential oils are found in the Essential Oils Profiles. Definitions and reference oils for properties and conditions are found in the glossaries of properties and of conditions. Familiarize yourself with the glossaries and Essential Oil Profiles now, before continuing.
